Experiencing dramatic rounds of competitions, the contest “Students with creative startup ideas in 2021.” is officially coming to the final stage. The program is coordinated by Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the Youth Union of the University, Ho Chi Minh City Student Culture House, and Southern National Startup Support Advisory Council organized. Especially in this year’s contest, Nguyen Tat Thanh University students had a spectacular comeback when they were present in 7/12 excellent projects that entered the final round.
To promote the spirit of innovation and creativity in life and in learning – scientific research of students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and, at the same time, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to practice mastery and build creative and startup groups among NTTU students. The contest “Student with creative startup ideas 2021” is an opportunity for the organizers to search and select innovative ideas and new and feasible projects for consulting support, incubation, and implementation success to become Startups. From there, connect businesses with students, create opportunities for potential projects to meet, and approach investors. This is the school’s annual program to find and honor outstanding authors and startups. The contest was launched in May 2021 during the complicated development of Covid 19, but the contest attracted 50 projects from 14 universities and colleges across the country. Before coming to the Preliminary Round, 164 students of the competition groups had undergone a training course on How to write a startup project description and make a project implementation plan.
Since then, the organizer has searched and selected 30 projects to enter the Semi-Final Round. This year’s startup competition is a competition of many unique ideas highly appreciated by the judges for their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. In the semi-finals, Top 30 projects were completed in 4 days (from August 23 to 26, 2021) with presentations, project introduction videos, media slides, answer questions and online quizzes of the Board of Directors. Previously, 120 students from 30 test groups had undergone a training course on startup development, business models, video skills, and project communication. Through consultation, discussion, and fair evaluation, 12 projects were revealed to enter the final round on September 22, 2021.
The journey of starting a business is like the race of dreams. There, the entrepreneur has to fight for his ideals and ambitions by himself. To win the race, a startup must have creative and breakthrough thinking, determination, perseverance, and careful preparation to overcome difficulties, step by step, into reality. Turn mediocre ideas into actual startups.
The organizers would also like to express their sincere thanks to the remaining projects, who have accompanied and tried their best with the competition during the past journey.
