Tamanu oil body wash

To meet the increasing consumer demand for natural products, scientists have searched for new alternative sources of raw materials. Tamanu oil, with its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and UV protection properties, combined with the excellent cleansing and foaming properties of the saponins, has contributed to an environmentally friendly shower gel. The study was carried out in two phases. First, study the process of extracting saponins from soapnut fruits using water and ethanol solvents. Next, determine the optimal formula for the product based on physico-chemical criteria and sensory evaluation.

Research has shown that using saponins as a natural surfactant as an alternative to synthetic surfactants significantly increases the safety of product use by reducing skin irritation. The antioxidant compounds in tamanu oil, such as xanthone and coumarin, form a protective network against UV rays and limit their effects on the skin. Antibacterial agents such as calophyllolide help prevent skin inflammation effectively. In addition, tamanu oil is made up of medium-chain lipids, which are pretty compatible with the skin’s oils, so they can penetrate deeply into the skin. The consumer survey results show that the product has the same quality as the natural shower gel on the market.
